PFS5: SP2HE Hall Effect PCB
Experience the future of fight stick technology. The SP2HE uses magnetic Hall Effect sensors to detect button presses with unparalleled precision—delivering sub-0.1mm actuation, zero added latency, and over 500 customizable actuation points per button.
Full Documentation, Downloads & Calibration GuideWhy Hall Effect?
Using the power of magnets and Hall Effect sensors, we know where the magnet in each switch is located at all times. This allows us to convert any position along the magnet's linear travel into a "button press" using our sophisticated PCB and custom firmware. This system is so good, the highly competitive S-tier keyboard makers are adopting Hall Effect systems for their products too!
Hall Effect switches and sensors are not connected electrically or mechanically. The magnetic flux between the two items is the only thing connecting them! Actuation points, contacts, bumps, and tactile feel you're used to with MX switches no longer apply—all of those, if present in your magnetic switch, are only there for feel and not function!
Over 500 actuation points per button. Set long presses on some buttons, hair-triggers on others—all through our free GUI software.
We read switch positions thousands of times more often than your fighting board polls for data. Every clock cycle is devoted to lightning-fast signal conversion.
No metal contacts to wear out. Contactless magnetic sensing means consistent performance forever—not degradation over time.
Sub-0.1mm actuation distance. Nothing competes—not low-profile mechanical, mouse switches, or optical. This is the edge you need.
Advanced Features
Rapid Trigger
Ignores fixed actuation points—activates on direction change. Enable per-button with adjustable sensitivity (1–100%).
Custom Actuation
Set each button's trigger point independently. Hair-trigger for some, deep actuation for others—your choice.
Button Remapping
Remap physical buttons to different functions entirely in firmware. Create game-specific layouts without rewiring.
Profile Export
Save and load complete configurations. Backup your settings or share them with other players.
Enabling Rapid Trigger (R/T) Mode ignores the actuation point and looks for changes in button direction to determine if it's being pressed. This allows you to quickly activate and deactivate a button along any point in the switch's throw—perfect for techniques requiring instantaneous directional changes.
Technical Specifications
| Processor | STM32 ARM Cortex-M4 @ 168 MHz |
| ADC Resolution | 12-bit (4,096 levels per button) |
| Sensor Type | Linear Hall Effect (×11 for SP2) |
| Actuation Points | 500+ per button (software adjustable) |
| Minimum Actuation | Sub-0.1mm achievable |
| Added Latency | None (sub-millisecond internal processing) |
| USB Interface | Full-Speed USB 2.0 HID |
| Configuration | Desktop GUI (Windows) with profile export/import |
| Compatibility | All Panzer 5 SP2MX panels |
There are timing issues with GP2040-CE boards that require pull-up resistors on the HOME, START, and SELECT button signals to allow entry into GUI or Update Mode. We recommend picking up a modified EZ Wiring Hat that has the pull-up resistors in place:
What's Included
- SP2 Hall Effect PCB
- 2× Custom USB cables (required for assembly)
You will use the ribbon cable and front panel cables included with your SP2 Panel. Note: The lever operates as normal—there are no Hall Effect sensors for levers compatible with the SP2HE PCB.
You Will Need to Provide
Many off-the-shelf key caps are compatible (29mm max diameter and 23mm max diameter).
This PCB is a direct replacement for all Panzer 5 SP2MX panels sold.
