The Story
The Hori VLX is a highly coveted and collectable arcade stick. We originally offered All Button (leverless) conversion panels for it back as early as 2016 but discontinued them in early 2020 due to the onset of the pandemic and a temporary shop closure. Well, now their back as we want to make sure everyone has as many options for customization of their gear as possible!
Each panel is constructed from cold rolled steel and powder coated in a black, slightly textured finish to ensure long term durability and good looks! These are direct bolt in panels for all VLX models, no cutting is required.
NOTE: Simultaneous, Opposite Cardinal Direction (SOCD) protection is required for these conversions to comply with CAPCOM rules. The stock PCB may not handle properly. We do offer SOCD cleaner options in the shop - some are CAPCOM legal, and others are not. Please consider picking one up for your build.
Artwork Options: You can design custom art and use the PRINTED PLEXI option for this panel! If you do, please understand that the art is printed and cut out of 1/16" plexi (~1.5mm) and it will sit proud (on top of) the panel creating a lip around the edges of the panel. This is unavoidable. Additionally, it will only be held in by the buttons due to the hidden mounting hardware of this panel. All of our templates in PSD and AI format are located here.
